Welcome to the Island Moorings Community Improvement Association (IMCIA)! We are a homeowners association representing residents on important issues affecting our community. The association was formed in 1982. Residents of our community wanted to maintain the high-quality of life in our neighborhood and work together to address important issues of common concern as they arise.
This website is designed as a communications vehicle for IMCIA members. New residents can learn more about our community and how to obtain important services from the City of Port Aransas. Residents can stay up to date on news and emerging issues, learn more about ways to protect the safety and security of our neighborhood, and find useful information in our "Resource Center." They can also share information, such as recommendations of tradespeople with whom they’ve had good experiences.
If you have questions or comments or concerns, please contact the IMCIA Board through our "Contact Us" page.

July 4th Parade

The July 4th celebration took place in the Island Moorings Communities with the annual parade hosted by Mustang Beach 1 and 2 HOA's. The annual July 4th parade has been a long time event in the Island Moorings Communities. The parade starts at the intersection of Marina Drive/Bayside Drive and proceeds down Bayside to the flag pole at the esplanade. The National Anthem is sung by the community members in attendance. After the vocal celebration, refreshments are a main event. Thanks Mustang 1 & 2 for our Annual July 4th Celebration!
Community Clean-Up Event- April 10
On April 10th, Island Moorings Community members gathered on Mustang Blvd to implement a Community Clean Up Event. The IMCIA Board along with Spectrum Management worked together to organize the event. After gathering, the owners with boats headed out with community members to the back canals and they picked up loads of trash, wood, and construction debris from the undeveloped shores and waterways of IMCIA bringing it all back to Mustang to be placed in a dumpster. Owners and volunteers then unloaded the boats and filled the dumpster. Other owners and volunteers picked up trash all along Island Moorings Parkway from Mustang Blvd to Piper Blvd. The event was a huge success and will be repeated in the near future. The board also took the opportunity to disseminate information regarding the new Neighborhood Watch program that is beginning soon in Island Moorings. The Clean Up event was one of the many ways that the Island Moorings Board and Spectrum Management are keeping Island Moorings beautiful and safe!
