Welcome to the Island Moorings Community Improvement Association (IMCIA)! We are a homeowners association representing residents on important issues affecting our community. The association was formed in 1982. Residents of our community wanted to maintain the high-quality of life in our neighborhood and work together to address important issues of common concern as they arise.

This website is designed as a communications vehicle for IMCIA members. New residents can learn more about our community and how to obtain important services from the City of Port Aransas.  Residents can stay up to date on news and emerging issues, learn more about ways to protect the safety and security of our neighborhood, and find useful information in our "Resource Center." They can also share information, such as recommendations of tradespeople with whom they’ve had good experiences.

If you have questions or comments or concerns, please contact the IMCIA Board through our
"Contact Us" page.

A big thank you to those who attended and volunteered and a special shout out to board member, Wayne Williams, for planning and coordinating the event! We look forward to seeing you all again for the next community clean up.

Neighborhood Watch Program Announced
Welcome IMCIA Neighbors to our new Neighborhood Watch Program

What Is Neighborhood Watch?

A neighborhood watch program is a group of people living in the same area who want to make their neighborhood safer by working together and in conjunction with local law enforcement to reduce crime and improve their quality of life. It is an opportunity to volunteer and work towards increasing the safety and security of our homes and our neighborhood. Neighborhood Watch empowers citizens and communities to become active in emergency preparedness and the fight against crime and community disasters.

What are some of the benefits of starting a Watch Group?
Partnerships with Law Enforcement and your Neighbors
Reduction in Crime
A More Secure and Better Prepared Community
A More United Community
Improved Communications during natural disasters

How can you help?

Volunteer to be a block captain
Get to know your neighbors – share phone numbers for emergency purposes
Make observations of suspicious activities and report to local police

Block Captains are needed for the following streets:
Blue Heron, Mustang Blvd, Marina Drive, and Bahia Mar.
